۝ But they turned away (from the obedience of Allah), so we sent against them Sail Al-‘Arim (flood released from the dam) and we converted their two gardens into gardens producing bitter bad fruit and tamarisks and some few lote-trees. (Sura Saba, Verse 16)

۞ Hazrat ‘Aishah (r.a)(May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The Miswak (tooth-stick) cleanses and purifies the mouth and pleases the Rubb.”

[An-Nasa’i and Ibn Khuzaimah].
(Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Virtues, Book 9, Hadith 212)

۞ Narrated Anas (r.a):
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I have told you repeatedly to use the Siwak. (The Prophet (ﷺ) put emphasis on the use of the Siwak.)
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Friday Prayer, Book 11, Hadith 13)

۞ Narrated Abu Burda (r.a):
My father said, “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and saw him carrying a Siwak in his hand and cleansing his teeth, saying, ‘U’ U’,” as if he was retching while the Siwak was in his mouth.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Ablutions (Wudu’), Book 4, Hadith 111)

۞ Hazrat ‘Aishah (r.a) narrated:
“The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) would clean his teeth with the Siwak, then he would give me the Siwak in order to wash it. So I would first use it myself, then wash it and return it.
(Sunan Abi Dawud, Book of Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah), Book 1, Hadith 52)

۞ Narrated Hudhaifa (r.a):
Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) got up at night, he used to clean his mouth with Siwak.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Ablutions (Wudu’), Book 4, Hadith 112)

۞ Narrated Hudhaifa (r.a):
Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) got up for Tahajjud prayer he used to clean his mouth (and teeth) with Siwak.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Prayer at Night (Tahajjud), Book 19, Hadith 17)

۞ Abu Hurayra (r.a) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Five things are included in the fitra:
trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, shaving the pubic hair, plucking the armpits, and using the siwak (arak stick for cleaning the teeth).”
(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, Book 53, Hadith 1257)

۞ Narrated Abu Huraira (r.a):
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “If I had not found it hard for my followers or the people, I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak for every prayer.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of Friday Prayer, Book 11, Hadith 12)

۞ ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abu ‘Atiq (r.a) said:
“My father told me: ‘I heard Hazrat ‘Aishah (r.a) say, (narrating) from the Prophet (ﷺ): “Siwak is a means of purification for the mouth and is pleasing to the Lord.”
(Sunan an-Nasa’i, The Book of Purification – كتاب الطهارة, Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 5,   Grade: Sahih by Darussalam)

۞ Narrated Hazrat ‘Aishah (r.a):
that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Ten are from the Fitrah: Paring the mustache, leaving the beard to grow, Siwak, cleaning the nose with water, paring the fingernails, washing the knuckles, plucking the underarm hair, shaving the pubic hairs, and Intiqas with water.”
